PACH Benefits from On-Going Collection at Wilson Brothers

What weighs over 600 pounds, takes 3 people to load into a truck and is worth over $1,600? Over the past two months, Wilson Brothers HVAC in Pepperell, has been collecting non-perishables for the PACH Food Pantry in Pepperell. In fact, Tom Wilson, one of the three Wilson Brothers of Wilson Brothers HVAC in Pepperell, feels so strongly about his company’s commitment to supporting the Food Pantry, that he has discounted the cost of heating and air conditioning tune-ups for his customers in exchange for a sack of groceries.

To-date Wilson Brothers has collected canned goods and non-perishables with a value of over $1,600. “We estimate that it takes at least 8 large grocery sacks to completely fill the box,” said Bonnie Wright, Wilson Brothers Marketing Manager. “So far we have filled and emptied the collection box at least ten or twelve times,” she added.

“The Food Pantries are the recipients of generous donations around the holidays, but this time of year the shelves get to be a bit bare,” explained Tom Wilson. According to the Food Pantry’s Web site, they are especially in need of the following items: canned meat, including tuna, ham, and chicken; cereal – any type of healthy, low sugar varieties; peanut butter and/or jelly; canned fruit; Shelf-ready, non-perishable milk; pasta and pasta sauce; spaghetti Os or ravioli; 100% juice; Ramon noodles; chicken noodle soup and personal care products, such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and toothpaste; and disposable diapers, sizes 4 – 6.

“The PACH Food Pantry is a mission of love and faith to serve people of the community. This is just my way of giving back to the communities who have supported Wilson Brothers in the past,” said Wilson. Visit the Pack webset at http://www.pachoutreach.org.
