Forced Hot Air
This type of system has a furnace as a heat source. Cold air is drawn from the house and is fed into the furnace where the air is heated and circulated back into the house via a duct system and into rooms through registers.
Advantages
Forced hot air heating systems allow for air conditioning, air filtration, air humidification and air purification.
Disadvantages
Forced hot air heating systems require ductwork which takes up space in walls. They tend to dry out the air and can be drafty and noisy if proper equipment is not used. A separate direct-fired hot water tank is required.
Key System Features
- ACCULINK™ COMMUNICATING SYSTEM
AccuLink™ Communicating System is an integrated and self-configuring system that makes it possible for your components to automatically talk to each other. - AFUE
Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency. AFUE is a rating that reflects how efficiently heating system converts fuel to energy. - ENERGY STAR
A program developed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Energy Star-qualified products save energy and greenhouse gases. - MODULATING HEAT
Fully modulating gas valve operates between 40% and 100% to meet real-time heating needs, providing ultimate comfort and efficiency for your home. - THREE-STAGE HEATING
Three-stage heating provides greater fuel efficiency and better comfort control by allowing for more modes of operation, depending on the situation. - TWO-STAGE HEATING
Two-stage heating is considered to be more efficient, because it operates at low speed most of the time. - VARIABLE SPEED MOTOR(S)
The fan motor inside higher efficiency indoor and outdoor units is designed to change its speed based on your home’s requirements.
