     •  BASEBOARD
     •  CO DETECTORS

Baseboard:

Baseboard is part of a Forced Hot Water (FHW) heating system.  This type of heat is located along the base of a outside wall.  Hot boiler water is circulated through copper or pex piping to the metal enclosure that has a copper and aluminum fin inside.  Cooler air that flows along the floor is drawn to the baseboard, warmed and moved to the room by convection.

Key Features:  Baseboard comes in different sizes and a few colors.

Advantages:  Baseboard  heat is a economical solution to install in a new or existing home.  Comes in different sizes and styles.

Disadvantages:  Cannot add air conditioning if you have baseboard heat.  Takes up valuable wall space for furniture.

Baseboard systems we sell:

  • Sterling
  • Rental

CO Detectors:

CO Detectors are a serious safety unit developed to detect harmful, odorless by products of combustion.  CO detectors come in many different brands.  They can be used in homes with natural gas, propane and oil systems.  Massachusetts has made it a law to have them installed with natural gas and propane systems.

Advantages:  CO detectors are a low cost safety device and are easy to install.

Disadvantages:  Most CO detectors need to be replaced every five years.  They need to be tested with CO gas to make sure the sensor has not failed.

CO Detector systems we sell:

  • Firex
