American Standard
"Allegiance 11, 12 & 14" Air Conditioners

Photo We're proud to offer the next generation of high-performance air conditioners from American Standard. Allegiance 11, 12 and 14 air conditioners incorporate new technology and innovative design techniques, providing enduring performance exactly when you need it. Every major component of Allegiance air conditioners is American Standard-made, because total quality control is the best way to insure high standards. When you purchase an American Standard air conditioner, you can feel confident that the company's integrated approach to manufacturing gives you exactly what you need for your comfort - reliability, energy efficiency, and built in performance from the inside out.

"Spine Fin" Coils: Maintaining efficiency over time.
Unlike most manufacturers, who use industry standard coils in their air conditioners, American Standard relies exclusively on the performance-enhancing properties of Spine Fin in Allegiance products. Spine Fin coils are constructed of thousands of tiny spines bonded to continuous aluminum refrigerant tubing which provides more surface area, adding greater heat transfer capabilities and more effectiveness over time.

"Duration" Compressor: The heart of the system.
With an oversized, heavy steel outer shell, an epoxy-sealed heavy duty motor, and a unique valve design, these compressors will stand up to the harshest elements for years to come.

Accessibility: Designed for faster installation and service.
Allegiance 11, 12 and 14 air conditioners are designed with "Easy-Sess" service access panels. All electrical and refrigerant controls are safely tucked away under a side panel that can be quickly removed for installation or service.

The Allegiance Cabinet: Who says an air conditioner can't be pretty?
With rounded edges, a recessed fan grille, sleek curves and louvered panels, and a soft gray powder painted louver finish, the Allegiance air conditioner is unlike any unit youÕve ever seen... and it's designed to stay that way. The baked on paint coating on the louvers won't scratch and prevents rust and corrosion. The "Durabase" basepan is made from a durable composite material that won't crack, warp, corrode or rust.

GOOD: Allegiance 11 balances comfort, low energy consumption and quiet operation with cost. It utilizes R-22 refrigerant and has a SEER efficiency of up to 11.50.

BETTER: Allegiance 12 offers all the features and benefits of the Allegiance 11 model with a higher SEER rating of up to 13.00. It uses R-22 or R-410A refrigerant. You also have the option of a compressor sound insulator.

BEST: Allegiance 14, which utilizes only R-410A refrigerant, features a compressor sound insulator, and two-speed motor. It provides the highest SEER efficiency: up to 15.00.

Consumer Update: Putting The Refrigerant Issue In Perspective
By the year 2010, HVAC manufacturers can no longer produce new heat pumps and air conditioners using R-22. By the year 2020, refrigerant manufacturers will no longer be able to produce R-22. These dates are mandated by the Clean Air Act. R-22 is currently reclaimed and recycled, and after 2020, only reclaimed R-22 will be available. The replacement refrigerant, R-410A, will become the standard. The important thing to know is that you can continue to purchase R-22 based systems until January 1, 2010, and there is then a 10 year window for continuing use of R22. As a professional HVAC company, we are participating in all related training and we are keeping abreast of industry news.
